This book took more than five years to prepare, and the Covid-19 pandemic caused a delay in its completion.
I began the task by reviewing a collection of books, documents, and most of the statements and articles related to the crisis, some of which required visits to the British Library in London, and travel to Paris, Jeddah, and Bahrain. I also reviewed eight volumes, containing most of what was published in newspapers and various periodicals about the crisis, the repercussions of which continued perhaps until the date of the book’s publication.
In this book you will find interviews with more than 38 people involved in the crisis. I met them under different circumstances, and after efforts to arrange appointments and obtain their approvals, each of them told his story. Among them were experienced figures who were familiar with what happened in other financial markets, and officials in government agencies who were assigned at the time to plan the way out of the crisis, and some of them were involved in it.
The criteria for selecting them varied between those who remained and are still aware of its events after about 40 years, and those who I estimated, through diligence, had a role in its events that deserved documentation. Living through the experiences of those characters during the climate crisis is today an embodiment of lessons and morals that are now being told with some humor and sarcasm as well.

This time frame includes the time it takes for the return to reach us (5-10 business days), the time it takes to process the return once it is received (3-5 business days), and the time it takes for your bank to process the refund request (5-10 business days).
